Five minutes, well spent

Sign the petition

This is a public declaration hosted on this site, not an official UK Government e-petition - it will not trigger a mandatory Parliamentary response. What it does is put a number behind this call, build a list of people who care enough to be contacted when it matters, and give me something concrete to take to policymakers and to my own platform.

What you would be asking for

1. A published national strategy on AI-driven employment disruption - not a working group, an actual public document with a plan in it.

2. A proper review of income security in light of automation, examining whether the current safety net still fits a labour market being reshaped by AI.

3. A cross-party forum on the shared ownership of AI-generated wealth, so the gains from this transition are not decided by default, or by whoever gets there first.

Prefer to stay in touch more broadly?

Signing the petition does not sign you up for anything else. If you would also like occasional updates from #FactsAreFriends - new journal posts, book news, events - that is a separate, optional mailing list.
